“A Great Cloud PC Solution – with some constraints”
I purchased a top-tier lifetime deal for MimicPC via AppSumo, and I have been happy with most of what I have experienced. It is easy to establish an account and get up and running with available apps. The support that I have received has been helpful and timely. The ease of use, speed and cost make this a good service that, in my experience, has been backed up by solid support. There are some constraints – this is not Google Colab or Jupyter Notebook – There are constraints over applications that can be run and what can be run in the apps available. My PC has an AMD graphics card and my Mac is an M1. Because of this I have restrictions in the AI apps and models that I can run. I was looking for a cloud solution to run larger LLMs and other GenAI solutions.

I have tried many competitors, and no one comes close. With all the other competitors, you have to manually install everything every time. With MimicPC, most of the models are already preinstalled, and you can save your progress, so there’s no need to start all over again every time you use it. Being able to share workflows is amazing.
